this is a fine shot with the clear blue sky and the spotless whites. that bell is sure to wake up a lot of people!
claudio mauri: Thank you, in fact the tolls are very noisy, but the bell only rings at midday
Wow! That's something!!!! What is it for?
claudio mauri: Need to remember, is the Bell of concord, these places in the past were the scene of bloody battles related to the First World War. The bell rings every day at 12.

C'est surprenant de voir une cloche ici.
claudio mauri: C'est vrai, mai comme deja expliquè s'agit d'un monument, La Cloche de la Concorde, pour se souvenir des morts de la Première Guerre mondiale combattu dans ces lieux

Does it work Claudio, or is this just for show?
claudio mauri: It works Chris, he plays every day at 12. Deafening if you are nearby
Is this to warn people to get off the slopes?
claudio mauri: No, the goal is another, in these places in the past were bitter battles in the first world war, that of 15/18. It is the Bell of Concord. A memory and a warning.
It is a fine bell, presumably it must be some sort of warning bell, I imagine it can be heard from a long way away.
claudio mauri: True, its sound is intended for the whole valley, but it is not an alarm, in fact when there is too much snow you avoid playing it, the sound waves could cause avalanches. As mentioned above it is the Bell of Concord, a monument to the fallen of the war 15/18 fought in these places. It is a warning and serves to remember.
Please tell us what it is for.
claudio mauri: As already mentioned, it is a monument erected in memory of all the fallen of the First World War of 1915/18 fought in these places. The bell is a memory and a warning for the future.
Her name and "Bell of Concord" (bell of concord) on her is engraved with the following sentence "Deus Pacem Donet populist" - God grant peace to peoples.
